Signing Up a Storm!
I just wanted to update Banjo's current list of signs. There was a word explosion at 13 months old and I have to grudgingly admit that educational television has proved itself to this momma. (Please don't tell our pediatrician Dr. Ebbing, to whom I've sworn that Banjo won't have 'screen time' until she's 2)
I checked out Baby Signing Time DVDs (discs 1-4) from our marvelous local library. From the very opening song, Banjo was utterly enthralled. She learned several new signs from watching it once. Soon I found that her love of Baby Signing Time is the stuff of legends. She asks for it (she signs "baby" and hoots at the tv) about 8 times a day. I have to distract her quickly or else she gets mad. Have I mentioned that she stomps her feet when she's angry now? Yeah, welcome to toddlerhood. Yikes.
So as of today, here are all the signs she is using (in no particular order):
